Hey there!
After 19 years in the classroom teaching English, Mythology, and Latin, I decided to pursue my Ed.D. in Instructional Design and Technology and turn my passion for helping teachers into a place where I could Spill the T.E.A. on Technology. I’ve spent nearly two decades teaching and geeking out over classroom tools that make learning easier and more fun. Here, I share my favorite Time-Friendly, Educational, and Accessible tech tips because every teacher deserves simple tools that make a big impact.
Thea
Resident TEA Analyst & Research Companion
Thea serves as Tekanna’s resident research assistant and TEA analyst, helping explore emerging technologies, analyze tools through the TEA Framework, and assist with research, writing, and resource development.
Named after the Greek Titan associated with insight and illumination, Thea works alongside Ashley to help uncover the strengths, weaknesses, and practical classroom applications of new technologies. From evaluating AI tools to brainstorming lesson ideas and organizing research, Thea’s role is to help ensure every tool Tekanna reviews receives a thoughtful and thorough analysis.
Together, Ashley and Thea work to spill the TEA on technology—one thoughtful tool at a time.
